PROPERTY DETAILS
THE BARNS
Flanagan Farm’s original late 19th-century barn offers 2,400 square feet of entertaining space beneath a dramatic two-and-a-half-story vaulted ceiling. Accommodating up to 250 guests depending on layout, it blends historic character with refined modern comforts, including climate control, built-in sound, elegant lighting, and a beautifully integrated wing of modern, temperature-controlled restrooms.
A statement bar with reclaimed barn wood and marble countertops anchors the reception space, while the lofted lounge above offers an elegant, relaxed place for guests to gather. Two large-scale french doors open at the back of the barn onto a bluestone patio and rolling pasture beyond, creating a seamless connection to al fresco or tented celebrations.
Just nearby, the Cocktail Barn adds 900 square feet of flexible entertaining space for the weekend’s itinerary, whether for welcome parties, rehearsal dinners, wellness classes, farewell brunches, or an indoor ceremony option in the event of inclement weather.
THE FARMHOUSE
The farmhouse at Flanagan Farm offers fully furnished accommodations for up to twelve guests across 2,400 square feet of thoughtfully designed interior space. Reimagined by Brooklyn-based Natasi Vail Design, the home is serene, well-appointed, and genuinely comfortable in the way that only considered design can achieve.
Just off the main house, a three-season couples' cottage provides a private retreat with an outdoor shower and views across the six-acre wildflower pasture. The professional kitchen is fully equipped for hosting with Carrara marble countertops, a soapstone island, elegant farm sinks, and ample entertaining ware.
the grounds
The breadth of the landscape is one of Flanagan Farm's defining qualities. Different parts of the weekend naturally find their own setting here, with each moment unfolding elegantly in its own atmosphere, its own light.
Spread across sixty-six acres, the property moves from open pasture to woodland sanctuary to orchard and patio. The six-acre rolling wildflower pasture accommodates tents, lawn games, and open-air gatherings, bordered by apple, birch, and evergreen trees. Two custom-designed boardwalks wind through the woodland toward a ceremony space nestled among the pines. A bluestone patio and outdoor fire pit anchor the outdoor gathering spaces for lobster bakes, cocktail hours, or evenings around the fire.
Flanagan Farm is also a designated Forever Farm through the Maine Farmland Trust, which is a reflection of the land's history and the intention behind its stewardship.

Winter Weddings AT FLANAGAN FARM
There is something about Flanagan Farm in winter that feels truly cinematic. The drama of snow-covered fields, the warmth of a candlelit barn, and the long evenings that draw people inward, toward each other..
Between December and March, winter wedding couples have exclusive use of the property from Friday through Sunday. Snow-covered boardwalks wind through the pines to the winter grove, an outdoor entertaining space where fire pit nooks invite guests to linger and overhead lighting turns the forest into something quietly magical. Ceremonies may take place indoors in one of Flanagan Farm’s two barns or beneath the open sky, depending on the couple's vision and the season's temperament.
The winter package is also one of the more generously appointed offerings at Flanagan Farm. Alongside full property and farmhouse accommodation for 10 guests, winter couples receive a suite of amenities not available in any other season: in-house event coordination, use of the fully equipped commercial kitchen, fifteen wood farmhouse tables, 120 cross-back chairs with cushions, and six high-top cocktail tables. These unique inclusions allow couples to invest their energy and resources in the elements of the weekend that matter most to them.
