THE BARN
With its two and a half story vaulted ceiling and open 1,800 square feet of entertaining space, Walnut Hill comfortably accommodates between 125-200 guests depending on your layout and event agenda. Crowned by the original rooftop cupola, the post and beam structure is warmly lit by hand-wrought chandeliers and dragonfly-etched sconces. The former chicken coop, fully open to the barn, is now home to an elegant bar featuring a two tap draught system, crafted from reclaimed barn wood and Carrera marble and furnished with vintage tractor seat stools and a large soapstone sink. Two pairs of French doors, accessible by both the barn and bar, open on to a classic granite patio (which can be tented) for savoring cocktails in view of manicured grounds or a breath of fresh Maine air. Special features in our unique 19th-century space include modernized amenities like separate power for sound systems and extra lighting and a heating and cooling system to keep guests comfortable in any temperature.
